Vidal Mate vs Montel Lira

Boxing Daily Report from the Mwase Promotions promoted show at Puente Alto Milanes, Puente Alto,  taking place on 17/11/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Chile-Santiago Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Vidal Mate (8 - 9(4) - 2) who hails from La Florida, Chile and Montel Lira(6 - 5(2) - 2) from Puente Alto, Chile.  Both Mate and Lira weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hilario Britto, and the three ringside judges are Fresco Collazo, Dario Salguero and Ora Silvera.  

Round 1: 

Lira steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Mate is whaling away with hooks, but Lira keeps his defence tight.  
Lira gets on the inside.  Mate hits home with a left hook.  Mate tries to land a right uppercut, but Lira slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Mate's body.  
Mate switches the action to the outside.  Mate is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Lira connects with an overhand left.
