John Cranston vs Louis Bruce

Boxing Daily Report from the Gore Promotions promoted show at Gore Gym, Boston,  taking place on 08/11/2036:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are John Cranston (6(3) - 0) who hails from Boston, USA and Louis Bruce(2 - 1) from Modesto, USA.  Both Cranston and Bruce weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Nathan Burt, and the three ringside judges are Nathan Burt, Phil Dawes and Hugh Hier.  

Round 1: 

Cranston closes the distance and digs in a sharp left hook to Bruce's body.  
Cranston digs in a left uppercut to Bruce's liver.  
Cranston drives a sharp right uppercut into Bruce's body.  
Cranston closes the distance and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Cranston clinches his opponent.  Cranston pushes his forearm into Bruce's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Cranston to stop fouling.

Cranston advances into close range and is on target with a solid left hook to his opponents liver.  Cranston ties up his opponent.  Cranston leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Cranston closes the distance and is on target with a left hook.  
Bruce tries to step out of his opponents range.  Cranston attempts to land a cross, but Bruce slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Cranston's liver.  
Cranston closes the distance and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  Cranston ties up his opponent.  Cranston leans on his opponent using all his weight. Cranston tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Bruce's kidney. 
Cranston lands a solid cross.  
Cranston closes the distance and forces Bruce to back into the corner.  Cranston pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to Bruce's body.  
Cranston lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Cranston lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Cranston walks his opponent down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Cranston connects with a firm left hook.  
Cranston lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Cranston lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Cranston lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Cranston lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right uppercut to the head.  
Cranston lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Cranston lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Bruce recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Bruce tries to keep the action at long range.  Cranston is on target with a firm cross.  
Cranston is looking to close the distance and lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head, AND KNOCKS BRUCE DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Bruce almost instantly recovers. 
Cranston lands a right uppercut.  Cranston throws a right uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Cranston is on target with a solid jab.  
Cranston gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Cranston lands a right uppercut to the head followed by two left hook's to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Cranston senses Bruce is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Cranston crashes a spiteful left uppercut to Bruce's ribs.  BRUCE IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Bruce now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Bruce's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Cranston feints a cross, but Bruce ignores the feint and responds with a cross.  
Cranston gets on the inside.  Cranston sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Cranston lands a solid jab.  
Cranston lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Cranston steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Cranston digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Bruce tries to land a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Cranston walks Bruce down, trapping him on the ropes.  Cranston lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Bruce throws a right hook, but Cranston ties up his opponent.  Cranston is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Cranston lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Bruce tries to keep the action at long range.  Cranston is on target with a cross.  
Cranston steps inside and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  Cranston clinches his opponent.  Cranston leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.

Bruce is starting to lose his temper here.   He turns Cranston and throws an uppercut into his opponents groin area!  The ref takes no action over the foul, despite complaints from Cranston.

Cranston is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Cranston lands a cross followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head, DROPPING BRUCE TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  Bruce now seems to have his senses back.
