Santiago Holguin vs Diego Abeyta

Boxing Daily Report from the Pearlnew Promotions promoted show at Ovidio Umanzor Gym, Bayamon,  taking place on 22/11/2036:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Puerto Rico-Bayamon Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Santiago Holguin (3 - 7(1) - 1) who hails from Bayamon, Puerto Rico and Diego Abeyta(24(17) - 1(1)) from Bayamon, Puerto Rico.  Both Holguin and Abeyta weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jair Sebastian, and the three ringside judges are Loredo Olavarria, Macario Armenta and Xeres Trigueros.  

Round 1: 

Abeyta lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Abeyta closes the distance.  Holguin sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Abeyta connects with a firm right hook.  Abeyta holds on to his opponent.  Abeyta hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The referee warns Abeyta and breaks the clinch.  
Holguin is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Abeyta feints a right, and then finds the target with a jab.  
Abeyta steps inside and is on target with a right hook to Holguin's body.  
Abeyta is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Abeyta connects with a solid left uppercut.  
Abeyta feints a left, and then lands a firm cross.  
Holguin steps inside.  Abeyta throws a right hook, but his opponent steps away from the shot.  Abeyta clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Abeyta pushes his forearm into Holguin's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Abeyta about fouling.  
Abeyta gets on the inside and throws a left uppercut, but is not on target.  Abeyta ties up his opponent.  Abeyta tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Holguin behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Abeyta to stop fouling.  
Abeyta is on target with a left hook to Holguin's body.  Abeyta ties up his opponent.  Abeyta leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Abeyta hits home with a solid right hook.  
Abeyta throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Abeyta ties up his opponent.  Abeyta leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Abeyta's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Abeyta gets on the inside.  Abeyta pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Abeyta switches the action to the outside and drives a jab into his opponents body.  
Abeyta lands a left uppercut followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Abeyta walks his opponent into the corner.  Abeyta pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to Holguin's ribs.  
Abeyta connects with a sharp left uppercut.  
Abeyta sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Abeyta lands a sharp right hook.  Abeyta clinches his opponent.  Abeyta uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Holguin's kidney. The ref breaks Abeyta's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Abeyta lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Holguin almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Abeyta tries to keep the action at long range and lands a jab, overhand right and a jab to his opponents head.  
Abeyta closes the distance and lands a right hook, left hook and a right hook to his opponents head, DROPPING HOLGUIN TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 9.  Holguin recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Abeyta is on target with a right hook.  
Abeyta cuts off the ring, trapping Holguin on the ropes.  Abeyta pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook.  
Abeyta closes the distance and lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Abeyta lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Holguin's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Holguin's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Holguin's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Holguin advances into close range.  Abeyta lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head, AND DROPS HOLGUIN!  He unsteadily tries to get up but is unable to beat the 10 count!  The winner by KO is Abeyta!
