Rich McPhee vs Max Byrne

Boxing Daily Report from the Terry Promotions promoted show at Cardiff Bower, Cardiff,  taking place on 10/12/2036:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the British-Wales Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rich McPhee (16(7) - 5(4)) who hails from Swansea, UK and Max Byrne(8 - 7(4) - 2) from Cardiff, UK.  McPhee weighed in at 246 pounds and 4 ounces, while Byrne weighed in at 236 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joshua Gillespie, and the three ringside judges are Glyn Bowen, Clinton Birney and Terry Lyons.  

Round 1: 

McPhee lands a jab.  McPhee tries to land a left hook, but Byrne blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
McPhee steps inside and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
McPhee quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to Byrne's liver.

McPhee lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  McPhee holds on to his opponent.  McPhee is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns McPhee.

McPhee feints a jab, tricking Byrne into launching a right uppercut counter.  McPhee springs the trap, countering with  a left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Byrne's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Byrne's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Byrne's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

McPhee steps inside and manouvers his opponent into the corner.  McPhee lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.

McPhee DETONATES a MASSIVE left uppercut on his opponents face.  BYRNE IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  THE COUNT REACHES 10, BUT BYRNE IS UNABLE TO GET UP!  The winner by KO is McPhee!
