Jose Merlin vs Cuba Basulto

Boxing Daily Report from the Tuffuor Promotions promoted show at Cali Arjona, Cali,  taking place on 22/12/2036:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Colombia-Valle del Cauca Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jose Merlin (7 - 10 - 3) who hails from Cali, Colombia and Cuba Basulto(11 - 3) from Cali, Colombia.  Both Merlin and Basulto weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Diego Aguiniga, and the three ringside judges are Frisco Rodriguez, Santiago Paredes and Emanuel Bazan.  

Round 1: 

Basulto is looking to close the distance.  Basulto pivots to the side of his opponent.  Merlin is on target with a left uppercut.
