Mikio Kikuchi vs Shinji Nakamura

Boxing Daily Report from the Koranteng Promotions promoted show at Kei Kurokawa Gym, Sapporo,  taking place on 28/12/2036:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Hokkaido Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mikio Kikuchi (9(4) - 0 - 2) who hails from Hakodate, Japan and Shinji Nakamura(6 - 7 - 1) from Sapporo, Japan.  Both Kikuchi and Nakamura weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ryuu Ogawa, and the three ringside judges are Jiro Ige, Eiji Aoki and Kyo Kawabata.  

Round 1: 

Kikuchi steps to the outside.  Kikuchi feints a jab, fooling Nakamura into throwing a cross counter.  Kikuchi springs the trap and counters with  a firm right hook.

Kikuchi sidesteps to the left of his opponent and drives a firm right hook into his opponents ribs.

Nakamura closes the distance and forces Kikuchi to retreat into a neutral corner.  Nakamura throws a left hook, but Kikuchi holds on to his opponent. The ref breaks Kikuchi's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
