Tobias Pottenger vs David Donnelly

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Place Bell, Laval,  taking place on 07/02/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Tobias Pottenger (22(19) - 1(1)) who hails from Halifax, Canada and David Donnelly(9(1) - 8(3)) from Lowell, USA.  Pottenger weighed in at 175 pounds, while Donnelly weighed in at 174 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Paris Clarin, and the three ringside judges are Mark Mostyn, Mark Mostyn and Aaron Henry.  

Round 1: 

Pottenger connects with a cross.

Donnelly steps inside.  Pottenger throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the punch with a sidestep.  Pottenger holds on to his opponent.  Pottenger uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Donnelly behind the head. 
Donnelly walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Donnelly attempts to land a right hook, but Pottenger blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Pottenger attempts to land a left hook, but Donnelly blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Pottenger snaps his opponents head back with a stinging jab.  
Donnelly closes the distance and lands a firm left hook.  Donnelly attempts to land a left uppercut, but Pottenger slips the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Pottenger lands a solid right hook.  Pottenger clinches his opponent.  Donnelly pushes his forearm into Pottenger's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Pottenger is on target with a firm right hook.  
Donnelly walks Pottenger onto the ropes.  Pottenger lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Pottenger hits home with a stinging left hook.  
Pottenger pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Donnelly quickly recovers. 
Pottenger lands an overhand right, jab and an overhand left to his opponents head.  
Pottenger switches the action to the outside and lands a ramrod jab.  
Pottenger lands a jab.  
Donnelly is looking to close the distance and attempts to land a left hook, but Pottenger blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Pottenger is looking to keep his distance.  Donnelly is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Pottenger SLAMS a FEROCIOUS overhand right into his opponents face.  IT LOOKS LIKE DONNELLY WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Donnelly forces Pottenger to back into the ropes.  Pottenger knows Donnelly is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Pottenger lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND SENDS DONNELLY TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  It looks like Donnelly has now recovered from that shot earlier.  
Pottenger tries to step out of his opponents range and hits home with a firm overhand right.  
Donnelly gets on the inside.  Pottenger pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a FEARSOME right hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE DONNELLY WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Donnelly recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Pottenger lands a firm cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Pottenger's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Donnelly's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Donnelly's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.
