Michael Nieves vs Rico Morro

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Cow Palace, San Francisco,  taking place on 07/02/2037:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the USA Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Michael Nieves (47(32) - 4(3)) who hails from Long Beach, USA and Rico Morro(32 - 9(3) - 1) from Miami, USA.  Nieves weighed in at 154 pounds, while Morro weighed in at 153 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Michael Thomason, and the three ringside judges are Lewis Mein, Oliver Williston and Quico Cadenas.  

Round 1: 

Morro pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Morro tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm left hook.

Nieves lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Nieves ties up his opponent.  Nieves leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Morro is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Morro.

Some sustained pressure from Nieves could be enough to finish Morro!  Nieves lands a right uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents head, DROPPING MORRO TO THE CANVAS!  He is still struggling to his feet as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Nieves!
