Khalid Shabazz vs Akhil Gupta

Boxing Daily Report from the Top Shelf Prospects promoted show at Mumbai Football Arena, Mumbai,  taking place on 17/01/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the India-Maharashtra Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Khalid Shabazz (11(8) - 0) who hails from Pune, India and Akhil Gupta(13 - 3 - 2) from Mumbai, India.  Both Shabazz and Gupta weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Lochan Vijay, and the three ringside judges are Premnath Arya, Gopal Shokeen and Hassan Hares.  

Round 1:

Shabazz is looking to keep his distance and lands with a spiteful jab.  
Gupta gets on the inside and throws a left hook, but Shabazz holds on to his opponent.  Shabazz leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Shabazz's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
