Rodrigo Manas vs Joaquin Onate

Boxing Daily Report from the Brodie Promotions promoted show at The SND Arena, Asuncion,  taking place on 03/01/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Paraguay-Asuncion Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rodrigo Manas (28(10) - 12(1) - 1) who hails from Asuncion, Paraguay and Joaquin Onate(25 - 12(4) - 5) from Asuncion, Paraguay.  Manas weighed in at 135 pounds, while Onate weighed in at 134 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Quiqui Claudio, and the three ringside judges are Fanuco Mandes, Fanuco Lovato and Ivan Chino.  

Round 1: 

Manas steps inside.  Onate throws a left uppercut, but Manas holds on to his opponent.  Manas is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Manas.  
Manas closes the distance and lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Manas gets on the inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Onate tries to keep the action at long range and is on target with an overhand right.  
Onate is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Onate quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Manas lands a jab.  
Manas gets on the inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Manas holds on to his opponent.  Manas leans on his opponent using all his weight. Manas throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Manas.

Manas is looking to close the distance and forces Onate to back into the corner.  Manas pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Onate throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Manas lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Manas gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Manas lands a right uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.

Manas advances into close range.  Manas quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.

Onate throws a right hook, but Manas ties up his opponent.  Manas leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Onate's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Onate's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.

Manas drives a left hook into his opponents body.  Manas ties up his opponent.  Manas tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Onate's kidney. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Manas about fouling.  
Manas is looking to close the distance and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Manas is looking to close the distance and drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Manas lands a right uppercut to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left hook to the body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!

Manas closes the distance.  You can sense the frustration from Onate now.   He turns Manas and throws an uppercut into his opponents groin area!  The ref halts the action and sends Manas to the neutral corner.    He has a stern word with Onate and warns that a point will be deducted if he continues to foul.  
Manas lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Manas closes the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Onate steps away from his opponent and throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook to his opponents body.
