Vicente Puerto vs Nori Yamashita

Boxing Daily Report from the Ringside Promotions promoted show at Makati Coliseum, Manila,  taking place on 11/02/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Vicente Puerto (22(15) - 0) who hails from General Trias, Philippines and Nori Yamashita(22 - 9(2) - 5) from Kobe, Japan.  Puerto weighed in at 140 pounds, while Yamashita weighed in at 139 pounds And 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Edmundo Cepeda, and the three ringside judges are Callum Pamatong, Vicente Tapawan and Guido Mati.  

Round 1: 

Yamashita lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Puerto sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Puerto connects with a firm right hook.  Puerto throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Yamashita hits home with a cross.  
Puerto gets on the inside.  Puerto hits home with a stinging right hook.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Yamashita.  That has caused bad swelling  around the right eye.  
Yamashita throws a right hook, but Puerto clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Puerto pushes his forearm into Yamashita's face.  The referee warns Puerto and breaks the clinch.  
Puerto drives a solid left hook into his opponents body.  Puerto holds on to his opponent.  Puerto leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Puerto pushes his forearm into Yamashita's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Puerto lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Puerto clinches his opponent.  Puerto is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Puerto hits home with a forceful right hook.  YAMASHITA IS HURT!  Yamashita quickly recovers. 
Puerto lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He then lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Yamashita almost instantly recovers. 
Puerto lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Puerto holds on to his opponent.  Puerto is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Puerto's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Puerto cuts off the ring, trapping Yamashita in the corner.  Puerto digs in a firm right hook to Yamashita's body.  
Puerto lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Puerto drives a left hook into Yamashita's body.  
Yamashita attempts to land a jab, but Puerto sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Yamashita steps away from his opponent and throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a nasty right hook.  YAMASHITA IS HURT!  Yamashita recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Yamashita is looking to keep his distance and tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Puerto closes the distance.  Puerto sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a solid right uppercut.  
Puerto forces Yamashita to back into the corner.  Puerto lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Puerto lands a sharp left uppercut.  
Puerto quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Yamashita tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Puerto hits home with a left uppercut.  Yamashita wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Puerto has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.

Puerto digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  Puerto holds on to his opponent.  Puerto is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, Puerto pushes his forearm into Yamashita's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Puerto.  
Puerto lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  Puerto ties up his opponent.  Puerto leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Puerto throws a left hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Puerto ties up his opponent.  Puerto throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Yamashita's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Yamashita's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Puerto closes the distance.  Puerto pivots to the side of his opponent and drives a right uppercut into Yamashita's body.  
Puerto is on target with a telling right hook to his opponents body.  YAMASHITA WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Puerto manouvers Yamashita onto the ropes.  Puerto lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body, KNOCKING YAMASHITA DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 7.  Yamashita now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.

Puerto slams a DESTRUCTIVE right hook into Yamashita's body.  DOWN GOES YAMASHITA!  THE REF DOES NOT EVEN BOTHER WITH THE COUNT...HE'S SEEN ENOUGH AND HAS STOPPED THE FIGHT!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Puerto!
