Vitali Kombarov vs Alik Pirog

Boxing Daily Report from the Motsoaledi Promotions promoted show at Krasnodar Smyshlyaev, Krasnodar,  taking place on 16/01/2037:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Russia Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Eurosport Russia, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Vitali Kombarov (8 - 8(1) - 2) who hails from Sochi, Russia and Alik Pirog(13(7) - 6 - 2) from Nizhny Novgorod, Russia.  Both Kombarov and Pirog weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fedar Guba, and the three ringside judges are Fedar Guba, Vitali Below and Vasili Shutkov.  

Round 1: 

Pirog feints a jab, fooling Kombarov into throwing a cross counter.  Pirog avoids the shot and counters with a solid right hook.  
Kombarov sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Pirog lands a straight 1 - 2.

Pirog sidesteps to the left of his opponent and drives a firm right hook into Kombarov's body.

Pirog lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Pirog steps to the outside and is on target with a cross.  
Kombarov closes the distance.  Pirog hits home with a firm left uppercut.

Pirog is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Kombarov attempts to land a right hook, but Pirog sidesteps and counters with a hurtful right uppercut.  KOMBAROV HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  THE COUNT REACHES 10, BUT KOMBAROV IS UNABLE TO GET UP!  The winner by KO is Pirog!
