Mashawn Asante vs Zach Poku

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Ghana-Ashanti promoted show at Kumasi Mayat, Kumasi,  taking place on 23/01/2037:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Ghana-Ashanti Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mashawn Asante (15 - 12 - 1) who hails from Kumasi, Ghana and Zach Poku(27(10) - 13(4)) from Kumasi, Ghana.  Asante weighed in at 146 pounds and 14 ounces, while Poku weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Connor Salifu, and the three ringside judges are Brad Kyei, Scott Acquah and Louis Nkrumah.  

Round 1: 

Poku closes the distance and manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Poku pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook.  Asante wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Poku has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Poku lands a right hook.  Poku clinches his opponent.  Poku is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Asante is looking to keep his distance and lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Poku advances into close range.  Asante throws a right hook, but Poku clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Poku pushes his forearm into Asante's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Poku steps inside.  Asante lands a left hook.  
Poku lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.

Asante throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.
