Akira Sano vs Kazuhiko Sugawara

Boxing Daily Report from the Kashoki Promotions promoted show at Jiro Takaki Gym, Sendai,  taking place on 28/01/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Miyagi Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Akira Sano (15(4) - 4) who hails from Sendai, Japan and Kazuhiko Sugawara(12 - 17(1) - 4) from Sendai, Japan.  Sano weighed in at 147 pounds, while Sugawara weighed in at 146 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Nao Shimada, and the three ringside judges are Aoi Ozaki, Mitsuru Asano and Satoru Miyazaki.  

Round 1: 

Sugawara steps away from his opponent and throws an overhand right, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Sano is looking to close the distance and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Sano quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Sano is on target with a sharp right uppercut to his opponents body.  Sano ties up his opponent.  Sano pushes his forearm into Sugawara's face.  The referee warns Sano and breaks the clinch.  
Sano walks Sugawara into the corner.  Sano is on target with a right uppercut to Sugawara's body.  
Sano is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Sano drives a right hook into Sugawara's body.  
Sano advances into close range and drives a right uppercut into Sugawara's body.  Sano ties up his opponent.  Sano leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Sano's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Sano lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  Sano holds on to his opponent.  Sugawara is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Sano digs in a left uppercut to his opponents liver.  Sano clinches his opponent.  Sano leans on his opponent using all his weight. Sugawara throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Sugawara to stop fouling.

Sugawara tries to keep the action at long range and attempts to land a jab, but Sano blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Sano is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.

Sano lands a left uppercut followed by  two right uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Sugawara wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Sano has taken some damage there.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Sano drives a right uppercut into Sugawara's body.  Sano holds on to his opponent.  Sano tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Sugawara's kidney. 
As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Sano dabs at his face checking for damage.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Sugawara's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.
