Joaquin Gaspar vs Quito Costa

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Auditório Celso Furtado, Sao Paulo,  taking place on 21/03/2037:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joaquin Gaspar (7(3) - 0) who hails from Recife, Brazil and Quito Costa(7 - 15(3) - 4) from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  Gaspar weighed in at 111 pounds and 13 ounces, while Costa weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Macario Nuno, and the three ringside judges are Beltran Viana, Vidal Moreno and Marjun Mendosa.  

Round 1: 

Gaspar closes the distance and lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  Gaspar holds on to his opponent.  Gaspar pushes his forearm into Costa's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Gaspar is looking to close the distance.  Costa pivots to the side of his opponent.  Costa throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Gaspar holds on to his opponent.  Gaspar is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Gaspar and breaks the clinch.  
Gaspar hits home with a stinging cross.  
Gaspar closes the distance.  Costa throws a right uppercut, but Gaspar holds on to his opponent.  Gaspar leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Gaspar pushes his forearm into Costa's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Gaspar about fouling.  
Gaspar lands a jab.  
Gaspar closes the distance and lands a right hook.  
Costa finds the target with a jab.  
Costa tries to land an overhand right, but Gaspar blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Gaspar is on target with a solid cross.  
Gaspar switches the action to the outside and lands with a stinging jab.  
Gaspar lands a right uppercut to the body, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Costa almost instantly recovers. 
Gaspar lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Gaspar lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Gaspar lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Costa quickly recovers. 
Gaspar gets on the inside and lands a right hook.  
Gaspar is on target with a sharp jab.  
Gaspar gets on the inside and hits home with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Costa's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Costa's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Costa's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Costa walks Gaspar down, trapping him on the ropes.  Gaspar lands a stinging left hook.  
Gaspar steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Gaspar advances into close range.  Costa throws a left hook, but Gaspar clinches his opponent.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Gaspar is looking to close the distance and crashes a nasty left hook to Costa's body.  COSTA IS HURT!  
Gaspar tries to step out of his opponents range.  Some sustained pressure from Gaspar could be enough to finish Costa!  Gaspar lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND SENDS COSTA SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  
Gaspar gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Costa now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.

Costa walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Gaspar lands a left hook followed by a cross to his opponents head, KNOCKING COSTA DOWN!  He isnt going to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Gaspar!
