Ali Abdella vs Kunle Thomas

Boxing Daily Report from the Mbeki Promotions promoted show at Aba Imeh, Aba,  taking place on 31/01/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nigeria-Abia State Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ali Abdella (18 - 8 - 4) who hails from Umuahia, Nigeria and Kunle Thomas(21 - 16 - 6) from Aba, Nigeria.  Abdella weighed in at 160 pounds, while Thomas weighed in at 160 pounds And 8 ounces.    As Thomas came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Bright Imenger, and the three ringside judges are Tunde Obode, Joe Emigo and Kashif Kaba.  

Round 1: 

Abdella finds the target with a jab.  
Thomas is looking to close the distance.  Abdella is on target with a left hook.  
Thomas gets on the inside.  Abdella is on target with a left hook.  
Thomas steps inside and tries to land a right hook, but Abdella parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Thomas retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Abdella tries to tag Thomas on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  Abdella goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action and gives Thomas time to recover.  
Abdella is looking to keep his distance and is on target with a jab.  Abdella attempts to land an overhand left, but Thomas sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.

Thomas steps to the outside.  Abdella connects with a cross.
