George Bates vs James Mattison

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Vector Arena, Auckland,  taking place on 14/02/2037:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the New Zealand-Auckland Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV One, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are George Bates (18 - 15(1) - 5) who hails from Manukau, New Zealand and James Mattison(12 - 17 - 2) from Manukau, New Zealand.  Both Bates and Mattison weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ian Brown, and the three ringside judges are Aaron Glendinning, Henry Edmonston and Matthew Chisholm.  

Round 1:
