Desiderio Manzanares vs Zenon Fosco

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Philippines-Misamis Oriental promoted show at Cagayan de Oro Abarca, Cagayan de Oro,  taking place on 01/02/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Philippines-Misamis Oriental Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Desiderio Manzanares (16 - 9) who hails from Cagayan de Oro, Philippines and Zenon Fosco(10 - 26 - 5) from Gingoog, Philippines.  Both Manzanares and Fosco weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Xaver Cabatana, and the three ringside judges are Kiki Malabed, Bronco Sibug and Noel Barcelona.  

Round 1: 

Manzanares attempts to land a left uppercut, but Fosco slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Fosco advances into close range.  Fosco throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Manzanares time to recover.  
Manzanares pivots from in front of his opponent.  Manzanares throws a jab, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Manzanares attempts to land a cross, but Fosco dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Fosco is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Manzanares's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Fosco's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Fosco's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Manzanares dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Manzanares.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
