Neil Villalobos vs Seth Ross

Boxing Daily Report from the Los Moreco Promotions promoted show at Walter Pyramid, Long Beach,  taking place on 19/02/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-California Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Neil Villalobos (33(16) - 7(2) - 2) who hails from Los Angeles, USA and Seth Ross(14 - 17(1) - 2) from San Francisco, USA.  Both Villalobos and Ross weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is David Moreman, and the three ringside judges are Will Ducat, Oliver Williston and Oliver Craddock.  

Round 1: 

Villalobos digs in a solid right hook to Ross's body.  
Villalobos circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  Ross tries to land a cross, but Villalobos dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Villalobos lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Villalobos holds on to his opponent.  Villalobos is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Villalobos digs in a left hook to Ross's ribs.  
Villalobos digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  Villalobos clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Villalobos pushes his forearm into Ross's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Ross lands a right uppercut.  
Ross throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Villalobos gets on the inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Ross in the red corner.  Villalobos pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a solid right hook into Ross's ribcage.  
Villalobos lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Villalobos feints a left hook, and then lands a jab to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Villalobos steps inside and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Ross attempts to land a left uppercut, but Villalobos blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Villalobos gets on the inside and drives a solid right hook into Ross's body.  Villalobos holds on to his opponent.  Villalobos tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Ross behind the head. Villalobos is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Villalobos gets on the inside.  Villalobos pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut.  
Villalobos drives a left uppercut into Ross's body.  
Villalobos whips in a spiteful left hook to Ross's body.  ROSS IS HURT!  
Villalobos senses Ross is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Villalobos crashes a big left hook to his opponents body.  ROSS IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 5.  Ross now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ross's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.

Villalobos drives a telling left hook into Ross's body.  ROSS IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Villalobos ties up his opponent.  Villalobos leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Villalobos digs in a left hook to Ross's body.  As Villalobos tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Ross dabs at his face checking for damage.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Ross's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Ross's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.
