Greg Hoggarth vs Nick Powell

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Chapiteau CCSE Maisonneuve, Montreal,  taking place on 14/02/2037:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Greg Hoggarth (0 - 0) who hails from Ottawa, Canada and Nick Powell(0 - 0) from Vaughan, Canada.  Both Hoggarth and Powell weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Verrier Luna, and the three ringside judges are Paul Coupland, Sid Leys and Vivien de Beauvoir.  

Round 1: 

Hoggarth lands a left hook.

Powell throws a right hook, but Hoggarth ties up his opponent.  Hoggarth tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Powell's kidney. 
Hoggarth is on target with a firm right hook.  Hoggarth holds on to his opponent.  Hoggarth is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Hoggarth's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Hoggarth feints a cross, and then lands a right hook followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Hoggarth steps inside.  Hoggarth quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a sharp right hook.  
Hoggarth lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Hoggarth lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  Hoggarth clinches his opponent.  Hoggarth is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Hoggarth forces Powell to back into the corner.  Hoggarth lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Hoggarth lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head.  
Hoggarth is on target with a sharp right hook to his opponents body.  
Hoggarth sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a sharp right hook.

Powell throws a left hook, but Hoggarth clinches his opponent.  Hoggarth leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Hoggarth's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Hoggarth throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Hoggarth holds on to his opponent.  Hoggarth leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Hoggarth pushes his forearm into Powell's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Hoggarth lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Hoggarth lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a right uppercut to the body.  
Hoggarth lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Hoggarth sidesteps to the right of his opponent and crashes a spiteful left hook to his opponents liver.  POWELL WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Powell almost instantly recovers. 
Hoggarth drives a right hook into Powell's body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Powell's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Powell's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Hoggarth feints a right hook, and then lands a left hook to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Hoggarth digs in a right hook to Powell's body.  Hoggarth ties up his opponent.  Hoggarth leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Hoggarth hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. 
Hoggarth advances into close range and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Hoggarth walks Powell into a corner.  Hoggarth lands a right uppercut, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Hoggarth lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.

Powell throws a left uppercut, but Hoggarth ties up his opponent.  Hoggarth is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Hoggarth's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Powell throws a right uppercut, but Hoggarth clinches his opponent.  Hoggarth tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Powell's kidney. 
Hoggarth lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Hoggarth lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Hoggarth lands two left uppercut's to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Hoggarth lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Hoggarth manages to force Powell into the corner.  Hoggarth lands a HUGE left hook.  POWELL IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 7.  
Hoggarth lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND SENDS POWELL TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 8.  Powell recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Hoggarth steps inside.  Hoggarth sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook, right uppercut and a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Powell throws a left hook, but Hoggarth holds on to his opponent.  Hoggarth is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Hoggarth to stop holding.

Hoggarth steps inside and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Powell attempts to land a left hook, but Hoggarth dodges the shot and counters with a potent left uppercut.  POWELL IS HURT!  
Hoggarth manouvers Powell onto the ropes.  Hoggarth thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Powell away.  Hoggarth lands a HUGE right uppercut.  POWELL IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  HE IS STILL STRUGGLING TO HIS FEET AS THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Hoggarth!
