Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Colorado promoted show at Colorado Springs Walker, Colorado Springs,  taking place on 22/02/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Colorado Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are James Buist (13 - 27(3) - 9) who hails from Denver, USA and Davie Balmer(31(8) - 4 - 1) from Aurora, USA.  Both Buist and Balmer weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Craigo, and the three ringside judges are Davie Kane, Bryan Oman and Declan Patterson.  

Round 1: 

Balmer hits home with a sharp cross.  
Balmer sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Buist attempts to land a right hook, but Balmer blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Buist's body.  
Balmer sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Balmer lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Balmer holds on to his opponent.  Buist is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Buist to stop fouling.  
Buist is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Balmer lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Balmer is looking to close the distance and throws a left hook, but his opponent steps away from the shot.  Balmer holds on to his opponent.  Balmer leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Balmer pushes his forearm into Buist's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Balmer lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  Balmer clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Balmer pushes his forearm into Buist's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Buist steps away from his opponent.  Balmer sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a stinging jab.  
Balmer closes the distance and lands a left uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Balmer has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.  
Balmer digs in a left hook to Buist's ribs.  Balmer clinches his opponent.  Balmer throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee warns Balmer and breaks the clinch.

Balmer throws a right hook, but his opponent avoids the punch.  Balmer holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Balmer pushes his forearm into Buist's face.  The referee warns Balmer and breaks the clinch.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Buist's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Buist's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Buist's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.
