James Catubig vs John Agumbay

Boxing Daily Report from the Kaiche Promotions promoted show at Pagadian Malapitan, Pagadian,  taking place on 01/03/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Philippines-Zamboanga del Sur Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are James Catubig (5 - 9 - 2) who hails from Zamboanga City, Philippines and John Agumbay(1 - 1 - 1) from Zamboanga City, Philippines.  Both Catubig and Agumbay weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ximen Tavera, and the three ringside judges are Paco Pinto, Quico Catacataca and Joaquin Malang.  

Round 1: 

Agumbay digs in a right hook to Catubig's body.  Catubig clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Catubig pushes his forearm into Agumbay's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Catubig to stop fouling.  
Catubig drives a left hook into Agumbay's liver.  
Agumbay pivots to the left of his opponent.  Agumbay attempts to land a left hook, but Catubig slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Catubig feints a right hook, and then lands a cross.  
Catubig throws an uppercut to the body, but lands well below the belt!  The ref stops the action and gives Agumbay time to recover.  
Agumbay backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Catubig is whaling away with hooks, but Agumbay keeps his defence tight.  Catubig lands a right hook.
