Paul Cubbison vs Kris Tyre

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Vector Arena, Auckland,  taking place on 21/03/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV One, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Paul Cubbison (6 - 6 - 2) who hails from Wellington, New Zealand and Kris Tyre(15 - 11(2) - 5) from Wellington, New Zealand.  Both Cubbison and Tyre weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Henry Ngahoro, and the three ringside judges are Paul Vaux, Chris Heretini and Cody Master.  

Round 1: 

Tyre steps inside.  Cubbison is on target with a right uppercut.  
Cubbison attempts to land a right hook, but Tyre slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Tyre lands a left uppercut.  
Tyre gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Cubbison is on target with a left uppercut.  
Cubbison advances into close range.  Tyre sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Tyre is on target with a left hook.  Tyre tries to land a right hook, but Cubbison blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Tyre quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Tyre throws a left uppercut, but Cubbison ties up his opponent.  Tyre uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Cubbison behind the head. Tyre pushes his forearm into Cubbison's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Cubbison's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Tyre's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.
