Michael Hughes vs Gus Herde

Boxing Daily Report from the Kronk Gym II promoted show at Elk's Temple, Grand Rapids,  taking place on 16/03/2037:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the USA-Michigan Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Now TV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Michael Hughes (24(6) - 0 - 1) who hails from Detroit, USA and Gus Herde(24 - 6(2) - 1 - 1(NC)) from Detroit, USA.  Both Hughes and Herde weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Nick McGowan, and the three ringside judges are John Swineford, John Kennan and Lewis Chiens.

Hughes wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Herde.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
