Sam Bringhurst vs Shaun Dunlay

Boxing Daily Report from the Showtime Promotions promoted show at Temple University McGonigle Hall, Philadelphia,  taking place on 31/03/2037:

Clearly Showtime Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Sam Bringhurst (7(7) - 1) who hails from Riverside, USA and Shaun Dunlay(2 - 0 - 1) from Phoenix, USA.  Bringhurst weighed in at 134 pounds and 4 ounces, while Dunlay weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joey Grierson, and the three ringside judges are Sam Fenty, Lloyd Orton and Robert Nodine.  

Round 1: 

Dunlay gets on the inside.  Bringhurst hits home with a left hook.  Bringhurst clinches his opponent.  Bringhurst throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Bringhurst.  
Bringhurst steps inside and digs in a sharp left uppercut to Dunlay's body.  
Bringhurst lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Bringhurst lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Bringhurst advances into close range and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Bringhurst sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Dunlay tries to land a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Bringhurst lands two right hook's to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Bringhurst holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Bringhurst pushes his forearm into Dunlay's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Bringhurst lands a left hook.  
Dunlay gets on the inside.  Bringhurst lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Dunlay quickly recovers. 
Bringhurst throws a right hook, but his opponent steps away from the punch.  Bringhurst ties up his opponent.  Bringhurst pushes his forearm into Dunlay's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Bringhurst.  
Bringhurst drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Bringhurst walks his opponent down, trapping him in the blue corner.  Bringhurst lands a left uppercut, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Bringhurst advances into close range and is on target with a sharp left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Bringhurst lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Bringhurst forces Dunlay to retreat into the corner.  Bringhurst hits home with a firm right hook.  
Bringhurst lands a right hook to the head, a right uppercut to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Bringhurst digs in a stinging right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Bringhurst steps inside and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Bringhurst digs in a firm left hook to his opponents ribs.  Bringhurst ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Bringhurst pushes his forearm into Dunlay's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Bringhurst.  
Bringhurst lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Dunlay almost instantly recovers. 
Dunlay hits home with a cross.  
Dunlay attempts to land a cross, but Bringhurst sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Bringhurst steps inside and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Bringhurst ties up his opponent.  Bringhurst leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Dunlay's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Bringhurst closes the distance and walks his opponent into a neutral corner.  Bringhurst lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Bringhurst clinches his opponent.  The ref breaks Bringhurst's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Bringhurst lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  He then lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Bringhurst ties up his opponent.  Bringhurst leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Bringhurst is on target with a solid left uppercut.  As Dunlay tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Bringhurst dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Bringhurst lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Bringhurst is on target with a firm right hook to Dunlay's body.  Bringhurst attempts to land a right hook, but Dunlay parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Dunlay throws a right hook, but Bringhurst holds on to his opponent.  Bringhurst tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Dunlay behind the head. The referee warns Bringhurst and breaks the clinch.  
Bringhurst lands a sharp left uppercut.  
Bringhurst is looking to close the distance and is on target with a right hook.  Bringhurst holds on to his opponent.  Bringhurst leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Bringhurst hits home with a solid left hook.  
Bringhurst is looking to close the distance and throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps.  Bringhurst clinches his opponent.  Bringhurst is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Bringhurst to stop holding.

Bringhurst senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Bringhurst lands a cross followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He then lands a left hook to the body followed by a cross to the head, AND DUNLAY IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is unable to get up before the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Bringhurst!
