Ovidio Maggay vs Rico Balantakbo

Boxing Daily Report from the Dauda Promotions promoted show at Santiago Dimayacyac Gym, Cabuyao,  taking place on 22/03/2037:

Clearly Dauda Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Philippines-Laguna Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ovidio Maggay (11 - 12(1) - 5) who hails from Calamba, Philippines and Rico Balantakbo(9 - 3 - 4) from Santa Rosa, Philippines.  Both Maggay and Balantakbo weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Miguel Nieto, and the three ringside judges are Cortez Rosete, Neper Langkin and Miguel Nieto.  

Round 1: 

Balantakbo sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook.  
Maggay tries to land a jab, but Balantakbo sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Maggay drives a right hook into Balantakbo's body.  
Balantakbo advances into close range.  Maggay lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Maggay wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Balantakbo.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
