Kei Shirai vs Hiro Mayeda

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, Tokyo,  taking place on 11/04/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are King Kei Shirai (50(28) - 8(5) - 1) who hails from Hachioji, Japan and Hiro Mayeda(18 - 7(2) - 1) from Osaka, Japan.  Shirai weighed in at 153 pounds And 11 ounces, while Mayeda weighed in at 153 pounds And 6 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Dai Fujita, and the three ringside judges are Nori Tamanaha, Jiro Fukumoto and Kazuhiko Nakano.  

Round 1: 

Mayeda is looking to close the distance.  Shirai quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and drives a left hook into his opponents body.
