Farhan Rachedi vs Gareth Bertrand

Boxing Daily Report from the Money Promotion promoted show at Yaoundé Multipurpose Sports Complex, Yaoundé,  taking place on 18/04/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Farhan Rachedi (7(7) - 0) who hails from Oran, Algeria and Gareth Bertrand(14 - 10(3) - 2) from Maroua, Cameroon.  Both Rachedi and Bertrand weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Bellamy Shaznay, and the three ringside judges are Darrell Djone, Tujan Dolassem and Mardian Suffo.  

Round 1: 

Rachedi throws a right uppercut, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Rachedi holds on to his opponent.  Rachedi is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Rachedi steps inside.  Bertrand sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Bertrand throws a right hook, but Rachedi ties up his opponent.  Rachedi is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Rachedi to stop fouling.  
Rachedi throws a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Rachedi holds on to his opponent.  Rachedi leans on his opponent using all his weight. Rachedi pushes his forearm into Bertrand's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Rachedi about fouling.  
Rachedi drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Rachedi hits home with a cross.  
Rachedi closes the distance.  Rachedi sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Rachedi lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Rachedi clinches his opponent.  Rachedi tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Bertrand's kidney. 
Rachedi is on target with a cross.  
Rachedi advances into close range.  Bertrand sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Rachedi drives a right hook into Bertrand's body.  Rachedi clinches his opponent.  Rachedi leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Rachedi digs in a solid right hook to his opponents ribcage.  Rachedi holds on to his opponent.  Rachedi leans on his opponent using all his weight. Rachedi is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Rachedi and breaks the clinch.  
Rachedi whips in a hurtful left hook to Bertrand's body.  BERTRAND IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  
Bertrand attempts to land a cross, but Rachedi blocks the shot and counters with a stinging cross.  
Rachedi closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Rachedi is looking to close the distance and lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Bertrand throws a right hook, but Rachedi holds on to his opponent.  Rachedi leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Rachedi's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Rachedi walks his opponent into a neutral corner.  Rachedi sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Rachedi lands a left uppercut to the head, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  Rachedi ties up his opponent.  Rachedi is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Rachedi's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Rachedi pivots to the right of his opponent and drives a sharp left hook into his opponents body.  
Rachedi steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head.  
Rachedi steps inside.  Bertrand throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Rachedi lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Rachedi hits home with a right hook.  
Rachedi manouvers Bertrand into a corner.  Rachedi digs in a solid right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Rachedi pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Bertrand quickly recovers. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Bertrand's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Bertrand's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Rachedi closes the distance.  Rachedi sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Rachedi forces Bertrand to retreat into a neutral corner.  Rachedi digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Rachedi gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He then lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Bertrand cuts off the ring, trapping Rachedi in the corner.  Rachedi is on target with a solid cross.  
Rachedi hits home with a cross.  
Rachedi sidesteps to the left of his opponent and digs in a weighty right hook to his opponents body.  BERTRAND IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 5.  
Rachedi lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Rachedi clinches his opponent.  Rachedi is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Rachedi is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Rachedi crashes a hurtful left uppercut to Bertrand's body.  BERTRAND IS DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  It looks like Bertrand has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.

Rachedi stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Rachedi lands a left hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES BERTRAND!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 7.  Bertrand now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.
