Paul Ashiru vs Mick Dikeh

Boxing Daily Report from the Mbeki Promotions promoted show at Umuahia Basha, Umuahia,  taking place on 29/03/2037:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nigeria-Abia State Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Paul Ashiru (8 - 19(1) - 8) who hails from Aba, Nigeria and Mick Dikeh(17 - 10 - 1) from Aba, Nigeria.  Both Ashiru and Dikeh weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Emem Gberu, and the three ringside judges are Nwankwo Nwoke, Farhan Moussa and Jay Onuegbu.  

Round 1: 

Dikeh connects with a cross.  
Ashiru steps inside and connects with a right hook.  
Dikeh quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Ashiru tries to keep the action at long range and is on target with an overhand left.  
Ashiru closes the distance.  Dikeh leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Ashiru tries to tag Dikeh on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!  
Ashiru pivots to the side of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.  
Dikeh finds the target with a jab.  
Dikeh connects with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Ashiru's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Ashiru closes the distance.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Dikeh dabs at his face checking for damage.
