Leonel Pablo vs Gregor Barbusse

Boxing Daily Report from the Showtime Promotions promoted show at Caesars Palace Pavilion, Las Vegas,  taking place on 18/04/2037:

Clearly Showtime Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on ESPN, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Leonel Pablo (13(7) - 2) who hails from Torreon, Mexico and Gregor Barbusse(15 - 10(1) - 4) from New Orleans, USA.  Both Pablo and Barbusse weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Pedro Lua, and the three ringside judges are Dale Cloyd, Ellis Slight and Alec Rees.  

Round 1: 

Pablo closes the distance and lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Pablo gets on the inside and walks Barbusse into the corner.  Pablo is on target with a stinging left uppercut to his opponents body.  Pablo ties up his opponent.  Pablo pushes his forearm into Barbusse's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Pablo to stop fouling.  Pablo throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Pablo throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Pablo holds on to his opponent.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Pablo lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Pablo clinches his opponent.  Pablo uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Barbusse's kidney. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Pablo about fouling.  
Pablo sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Pablo throws a right hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Pablo clinches his opponent.  Pablo is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Pablo's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Pablo connects with a left hook.  
Pablo pivots from in front of his opponent.  Barbusse throws a left uppercut, but Pablo clinches his opponent.  Pablo is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Barbusse throws a left hook, but Pablo holds on to his opponent.  Pablo throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
Pablo lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Barbusse almost instantly recovers. 
Pablo is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Barbusse throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Barbusse switches the action to the outside.  Pablo is on target with a cross.  
Barbusse is looking to keep his distance.  Pablo attempts to land a jab, but Barbusse blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Pablo closes the distance and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Pablo gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES BARBUSSE!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
Pablo lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Pablo dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Pablo drives a right uppercut into Barbusse's body.  Pablo holds on to his opponent.  Pablo leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Barbusse's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Barbusse throws a right hook, but Pablo clinches his opponent.  Pablo leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Pablo is on target with a sharp right hook to Barbusse's body.  
Barbusse tries to keep the action at long range.  Pablo stalks forward with a low guard, trying to draw a lead from his opponent.  Barbusse tries to land a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a big right hook to his opponents ribcage.  IT LOOKS LIKE BARBUSSE WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Barbusse recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Pablo gets on the inside and digs in a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Pablo gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Pablo ties up his opponent.  Pablo is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Pablo to stop holding.  
Pablo is on target with a sharp left hook to Barbusse's liver.  
Barbusse pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut.  
Pablo is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Barbusse is looking to keep his distance.  Pablo sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Pablo gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Pablo lands a left hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Barbusse steps to the outside.  Pablo lands an overhand right.  
Pablo feints a cross, and then lands an overhand right followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Pablo sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Barbusse is on target with a cross.  
Pablo lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Barbusse throws a right uppercut, but the shot is blocked.  Pablo clinches his opponent.  Pablo is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Pablo to stop fouling.  
Barbusse attempts to land a left hook, but Pablo sidesteps and counters with a firm right hook.  
Pablo pivots to the side of his opponent.  Pablo lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Pablo ties up his opponent.  Pablo is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Pablo to stop holding.  
Pablo whips in a mean right uppercut to Barbusse's ribcage.  BARBUSSE IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Pablo drives a forceful right uppercut into his opponents body.  DOWN GOES BARBUSSE!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Pablo cuts off the ring, trapping Barbusse in the corner.  Pablo pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a solid right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Pablo drives a firm right hook into Barbusse's body.  
Pablo lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  He then lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Barbusse's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Barbusse's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
