Mike Iringo vs Robert Cherigat

Boxing Daily Report from the Ndovi Promotions promoted show at Lavaughn Kimutai Gym, Nairobi,  taking place on 19/04/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Kenya Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on KTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Mike Iringo (29 - 10(5) - 1) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and Robert Cherigat(29(25) - 6(6)) from Kikuyu, Kenya.  Both Iringo and Cherigat weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Matt Kanyoro, and the three ringside judges are Luister Mutahi, Sam Waiyaki and Yobachi Rubia.  

Round 1: 

Iringo switches the action to the outside and lands a cross to the body, an overhand right to the head and a jab to the head.  
Iringo is looking to keep his distance and connects with a cross.  
Cherigat closes the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Cherigat sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Iringo drives a right hook into Cherigat's ribs.
