Frano Šimek vs Joseph Ewart

Boxing Daily Report from the JSW promoted show at Westpac, Melbourne,  taking place on 04/05/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Frano Šimek (22(17) - 3(2)) who hails from Zagreb, Croatia and Joseph Ewart(13 - 5(1)) from Canberra, Australia.  Both Šimek and Ewart weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Euan Kier, and the three ringside judges are Clinton Waugh, James Christou and Alastair MacIntyre.  

Round 1: 

Šimek attempts to land a right hook, but Ewart parries the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Šimek gets on the inside.  Šimek sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Ewart attempts to land a right uppercut, but Šimek blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Ewart walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Šimek lands with a sharp jab.

Ewart is on target with a jab.  
Šimek is looking to close the distance and digs in a stinging right uppercut to his opponents body.

Šimek steps inside and slams a HUGE left uppercut into Ewart's liver.  IT LOOKS LIKE EWART WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Šimek ties up his opponent.  Šimek is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Šimek stalks his opponent...he just needs the right shot to put his opponent away!  Šimek is on target with a telling left hook to his opponents ribs.  EWART IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 6.  Ewart now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Šimek gets on the inside and connects with a firm right hook.  
Šimek is on target with a cross.  
Šimek is looking to close the distance and drives a left hook into Ewart's body.  
Šimek closes the distance and lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  
Šimek lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Šimek's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Ewart's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Šimek whips in a nasty left uppercut to his opponents body.  IT LOOKS LIKE EWART WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Šimek ties up his opponent.  Šimek pushes his forearm into Ewart's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  Ewart recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Ewart quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Ewart throws a right hook, but Šimek holds on to his opponent.  Šimek leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Šimek pushes his forearm into Ewart's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Šimek.  
Ewart is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Ewart is on target with a jab.  Ewart tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Šimek advances into close range.  Šimek throws a right hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Šimek ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Ewart pushes his forearm into Šimek's face.  The referee warns Ewart and breaks the clinch.  
Ewart pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Šimek advances into close range and lands a left hook followed by  two right hooks to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES EWART!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  Ewart quickly recovers. 
Šimek sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Ewart pivots to the left of his opponent.  Ewart throws a left uppercut, but Šimek holds on to his opponent.  Šimek leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Šimek lands a right uppercut.  Šimek tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Šimek drives a solid left uppercut into Ewart's body.  
Šimek lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Ewart quickly recovers. 
Šimek drives a right hook into Ewart's ribs.  
Ewart lands a ramrod jab.  
Šimek hits home with a left hook.  
Šimek closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.

Šimek whips in a spiteful left hook to Ewart's liver.  EWART IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  Ewart now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.

Ewart sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Šimek digs in a solid right hook to Ewart's ribcage.  
Šimek is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND DROPS EWART!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  
Šimek thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Ewart away.  Šimek crashes a nasty right hook to his opponents body.  EWART IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 6.  Ewart now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.

The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Ewart dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Ewart.  That has caused bad swelling  around the right eye.  
Šimek closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Šimek crashes a spiteful right hook to his opponents body.  IT LOOKS LIKE EWART WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Ewart almost instantly recovers. 
Šimek lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head, AND DROPS EWART TO THE CANVAS!  He unsteadily tries to get up but is unable to beat the 10 count!  The winner by KO is Šimek!
