John Tinlin vs Lewis Riggins

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Illinois promoted show at Chicago Jablonski, Chicago,  taking place on 04/05/2037:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the USA-Illinois Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John Tinlin (10 - 24(4) - 4) who hails from Chicago, USA and Lewis Riggins(23 - 7) from Chicago, USA.  Both Tinlin and Riggins weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sam Touch, and the three ringside judges are Jack Fiddes, Matt Dzikowski and Patrick Greig.  

Round 1: 

Riggins advances into close range and connects with a right hook.  
Riggins feints a left, and then attempts to land a jab, but Tinlin dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Riggins dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Riggins.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Riggins manouvers Tinlin into a corner.  Riggins connects with a right hook.  
Riggins gets on the inside.  Riggins quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Riggins tries to land a left hook, but Tinlin dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Tinlin throws an overhand left, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Tinlin circles his opponent with a low guard, waiting for his opponent to attack.  Riggins connects with a cross.  
Riggins is looking to close the distance.  Tinlin pivots to the side of his opponent and connects with a left hook.  
Riggins walks Tinlin down, trapping him on the ropes.  Riggins pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Riggins tries to keep the action at long range.  Riggins feints a jab, tricking Tinlin into throwing a left hook counter.  Riggins springs the trap and counters with  a left uppercut.  
Riggins closes the distance.  Riggins sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Tinlin connects with a left hook.  
Riggins pivots to the right of his opponent and connects with a right hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Tinlin's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Tinlin's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Riggins's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.
