Kieran Cowper vs Juan Vilchis

Boxing Daily Report from the Top Shelf Prospects promoted show at Arena Maipu, Mendoza,  taking place on 05/06/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Kieran Cowper (7(5) - 1(1)) who hails from Linden, Guyana and Juan Vilchis(8 - 17 - 3) from Rosario, Argentina.  Cowper weighed in at 147 pounds, while Vilchis weighed in at 146 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Diego Agron, and the three ringside judges are Juan Topete, Jeraldo Games and Edmundo Ferrin.  

Round 1: 

Cowper quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a jab to his opponents head.  He then lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Cowper tries to step out of his opponents range and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Cowper lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Cowper is looking to keep his distance and lands an overhand right, overhand left and a jab to his opponents head.  
Cowper hits home with a firm overhand right.  
Cowper feints a left hook, and then lands an overhand left, overhand right and a cross to his opponents head.  
Cowper feints a right hook, and then drives a hard jab into his opponents face.  
Cowper quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  He continues the combination and lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Cowper switches the action to the outside and connects with a sharp cross.

Vilchis gets on the inside and manouvers Cowper onto the ropes.  Cowper lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He then lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Cowper holds on to his opponent.  Cowper is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Cowper pushes his forearm into Vilchis's face.  The referee warns Cowper and breaks the clinch.

Vilchis steps inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Cowper on the ropes.  Cowper digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Cowper tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a jab to the head followed by a cross to the body.  
Cowper feints a left, and then hits home with a firm cross.  
Cowper feints a right hook, and then connects with an overhand right.  
Cowper finds the target with a spiteful jab.  
Cowper lands a cross, overhand right and a cross to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES VILCHIS!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Vilchis quickly recovers. 
Cowper lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Cowper feints a cross, and then lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a straight 1 - 2.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Vilchis almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Cowper lands with a spiteful jab.  
Cowper tries to step out of his opponents range and finds the target with a stiff jab.  
Vilchis walks his opponent into a corner.  Cowper digs in a solid left uppercut to Vilchis's body.  
Vilchis gets on the inside.  Cowper pivots to the left of his opponent.  Cowper throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the punch.  Cowper holds on to his opponent.  Cowper leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Cowper throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Cowper about fouling.  
Cowper steps away from his opponent and lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Cowper tries to step out of his opponents range and lands with a hard jab.  
Cowper lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Vilchis quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Cowper lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  He then lands a cross followed by a overhand left to his opponents head, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Vilchis recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Vilchis closes the distance.  Cowper pivots to the left of his opponent.  Vilchis throws a left uppercut, but Cowper ties up his opponent.  Cowper leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Vilchis attempts to land a jab, but Cowper sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Cowper switches the action to the outside.  Cowper feints a left, and then EXPLODES a HUGE cross into his opponents face.  VILCHIS IS HURT!  Vilchis recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Cowper sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head, AND DROPS VILCHIS!  He remains on the canvas as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Cowper!
