Alain Gayet vs Michael Sand

Boxing Daily Report from the North Star Boxing promoted show at Brockton Oval, Vancouver,  taking place on 02/05/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Alain Gayet (2 - 0) who hails from Montreal, Canada and Michael Sand(1 - 0 - 1) from Saskatoon, Canada.  Both Gayet and Sand weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is James Wark, and the three ringside judges are John Hendren, Michael Crosbie and Sam Mortimer.  

Round 1: 

Gayet closes the distance and is on target with a firm left hook to his opponents body.  
Gayet lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Gayet holds on to his opponent.  Gayet pushes his forearm into Sand's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Gayet to stop fouling.  
Gayet closes the distance and attempts to land a left hook, but Sand blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Sand quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Gayet lands a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Gayet lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Gayet ties up his opponent.  Gayet leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Gayet advances into close range and forces Sand to retreat onto the ropes.  Gayet drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Gayet lands a right uppercut, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Gayet manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Gayet tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Gayet drives a solid left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Gayet gets on the inside and drives a left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Gayet pivots to the side of his opponent and drives a right hook into Sand's ribcage.  
Gayet lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Gayet drives a right uppercut into Sand's body.  
Gayet is on target with a left hook.  
Gayet cuts off the ring, trapping Sand in the blue corner.  Gayet attempts to land a right uppercut, but Sand blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Gayet digs in a right uppercut to Sand's ribcage.  
Gayet walks Sand into the corner.  Gayet lands a left uppercut to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Gayet lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body.  
Gayet throws a right uppercut, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Gayet ties up his opponent.  Gayet tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Sand behind the head. Gayet uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Sand's kidney. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Gayet gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Gayet feints a left, and then hits home with a cross.  
Gayet gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Gayet holds on to his opponent.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Sand is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Gayet lands a sharp jab.  
Gayet advances into close range.  Gayet pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut.  
Gayet sidesteps to the left of his opponent and digs in a right hook to Sand's ribs.  
Gayet walks Sand down, trapping him in the corner.  Gayet whips in a nasty left uppercut to Sand's body.  SAND WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Sand almost instantly recovers. 
Gayet sidesteps to the left of his opponent and drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Sand's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Sand's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  Gayet attempts to land a right uppercut, but Sand blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Sand tries to land a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Gayet forces Sand to retreat onto the ropes.  Gayet quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Sand is looking to keep his distance.  Gayet strikes his opponents body with a hurtful cross.  SAND HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  HE TRIES TO RISE BUT HIS LEGS DONT RESPOND...THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Gayet!
