Waqas Salik vs Ahmed Tahan

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Iran-Fars promoted show at Ibrahim Saab Gym, Shiraz,  taking place on 27/05/2037:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Iran-Fars Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Waqas Salik (16 - 8 - 3) who hails from Shiraz, Iran and Ahmed Tahan(19 - 7(1) - 1) from Shiraz, Iran.  Both Salik and Tahan weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Kamran Amin, and the three ringside judges are Amer Shahidi, Amer Farran and Waqar Akhtar.  

Round 1: 

Tahan is looking to close the distance and attempts to land a left hook, but Salik parries the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Salik switches the action to the outside.  Tahan is on target with a cross.  
Salik tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.
