Xaverius Poma vs Leighton Clough

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at Gold Coast Americas, Los Angeles,  taking place on 23/05/2037:

Clearly Gold Coast Boxing have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Xaverius Poma (7(2) - 0) who hails from Valencia, Venezuela and Leighton Clough(4 - 2) from Orlando, USA.  Both Poma and Clough weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jack Weale, and the three ringside judges are Zuffur Sylla, Noah Denoon and Sid Marcial.  

Round 1: 

Poma steps inside.  Poma voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Clough is whaling away with hooks, but Poma keeps his defence tight.

Clough sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Poma is on target with a firm right hook to Clough's ribcage.  
Clough throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right uppercut.  
Poma lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a cross to the body, and then to the head.  
Poma closes the distance and drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Clough pivots from in front of his opponent.  Clough is on target with a jab to his opponents body.  Clough attempts to land a left hook, but Poma blocks the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Poma advances into close range.  Clough quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Poma lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  Poma holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Poma pushes his forearm into Clough's face.  The ref breaks Poma's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Poma is looking to keep his distance and connects with a sharp overhand right.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Poma's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Clough's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Clough's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.
