Robert Platter vs Joshua Balderston

Boxing Daily Report from the Cowboys promoted show at El Maida Shrine Auditorium, El Paso,  taking place on 06/06/2037:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-SouthWest Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Robert Platter (21 - 10(1) - 2) who hails from Austin, USA and Joshua Balderston(24(19) - 0) from Albuquerque, USA.  Platter weighed in at 135 pounds, while Balderston weighed in at 134 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Bryan Priddy, and the three ringside judges are Joey Moat, Robert Corfield and James Rave.  

Round 1: 

Balderston connects with a solid right uppercut.  
Balderston drives a right uppercut into his opponents ribcage.  
Balderston forces Platter to back into a neutral corner.  Platter lands a cross.  
Balderston closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Balderston lands a left uppercut.  
Balderston lands a jab followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Balderston is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Balderston contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Platter hits home with a cross.  
Balderston advances into close range and lands a right hook, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Balderston throws a left uppercut, but the shot is blocked.  Balderston ties up his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Balderston lands a right hook.  
Balderston throws a left uppercut, but the shot is blocked.  Balderston holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Balderston pushes his forearm into Platter's face.  The ref breaks Balderston's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Platter attempts to land a jab, but Balderston slips the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Balderston advances into close range and is on target with a left hook.  
Balderston is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by two right hook's to the body.  
Balderston gets on the inside and drives a left hook into Platter's body.  
Platter tries to step out of his opponents range.  Balderston lowers his guard, attempting to draw a lead.  Platter is on target with a cross.  
Platter lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Balderston is on target with a left uppercut.  
Balderston connects with a firm left uppercut.  
Balderston steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Balderston is looking to close the distance and manouvers Platter onto the ropes.  Balderston lands a right hook to the head, a left uppercut to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Balderston lands a right hook.  Balderston holds on to his opponent.  Balderston uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Platter behind the head. The ref breaks Balderston's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Balderston steps inside and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Balderston lands two left hooks followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  Balderston clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Balderston pushes his forearm into Platter's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Balderston about fouling.  
Balderston walks his opponent into a corner.  Balderston lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Platter recovers before his opponent can take advantage.
