Emilio Menendez vs Jose Lino

Boxing Daily Report from the Kayo Promotions promoted show at Auditorio Plaza Condesa, Mexico City,  taking place on 05/07/2037:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Emilio Menendez (0 - 0) who hails from Acapulco, Mexico and Jose Lino(0 - 1) from Nezahualcoyotl, Mexico.  Menendez weighed in at 114 pounds and 13 ounces, while Lino weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joaquin Herran, and the three ringside judges are Xavion Borra, Rodrigo Parras and Juan Morena.  

Round 1: 

Menendez lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Menendez connects with a cross.  
Menendez closes the distance and digs in a left hook to Lino's ribs.  
Menendez manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Lino is on target with a cross.  
Menendez advances into close range.  Menendez sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Menendez lands a cross.  
Menendez lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Menendez throws a right uppercut, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Menendez drives a right hook into Lino's ribcage.  
Menendez drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Lino advances into close range.  Menendez lands a right hook.  Menendez holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Menendez pushes his forearm into Lino's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Menendez about fouling.  
Menendez feints a jab, and then is on target with a cross.  
Menendez connects with a right hook.  Menendez wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Lino.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Lino throws a right hook, but Menendez holds on to his opponent.  Menendez tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Lino behind the head. The ref breaks Menendez's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Menendez manages to force Lino onto the ropes.  As Menendez tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Lino.  The foul has worsened the damage  around the left eye.  
Menendez drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Menendez sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Menendez drives a right hook into his opponents body.  Menendez holds on to his opponent.  Menendez throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Lino's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Lino's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Menendez gets on the inside and lands a left hook.  
Menendez walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Menendez is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  As Lino tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref steps in and separates the two fighters to check for damage.  Its not looking good!  The ref has ruled that the fight cannot continue due to the accidental damage.  As less than 4 rounds have been completed its going to be a no-contest!
