Robert Kerwood vs Weber Schaffer

Boxing Daily Report from the L2LBoxingPromotions promoted show at Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff,  taking place on 20/07/2037:

Clearly L2LBoxingPromotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Robert Kerwood (0 - 0) who hails from Plymouth, UK and Weber Schaffer(1 - 5 - 2) from Basel, Switzerland.  Kerwood weighed in at 199 pounds and 2 ounces, while Schaffer weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark MacNevin, and the three ringside judges are Joshua Gillespie, Mark MacNevin and Gethin Kerrigan.  

Round 1: 

Kerwood lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Kerwood advances into close range.  Schaffer pivots from in front of his opponent.  Schaffer throws a right hook, but Kerwood holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Kerwood pushes his forearm into Schaffer's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Kerwood about fouling.  
Kerwood lands a cross followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Kerwood gets on the inside.  Kerwood digs in a firm right hook to his opponents ribs.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Kerwood dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Kerwood closes the distance.  Kerwood quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Kerwood gets on the inside and is on target with a solid left hook to his opponents body.  
Schaffer is on target with a jab.  
Kerwood advances into close range.  Schaffer throws a left hook, but Kerwood clinches his opponent.  Kerwood is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Kerwood closes the distance and drives a sharp left hook into his opponents body.  
Kerwood attempts to land a right uppercut, but Schaffer parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Schaffer attempts to land a right hook, but Kerwood parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Kerwood is looking to close the distance and digs in a stinging left hook to Schaffer's body.  
Kerwood gets on the inside and is on target with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Schaffer's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Kerwood closes the distance.  Schaffer throws a left hook, but Kerwood clinches his opponent.  Kerwood hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Kerwood to stop fouling.

Kerwood connects with a right hook.  Kerwood holds on to his opponent.  Kerwood is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Kerwood advances into close range.  Schaffer quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Kerwood lands a sharp right uppercut.  
Kerwood hits home with a cross.  
Kerwood forces Schaffer to back into a neutral corner.  Kerwood lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.

Kerwood drives a right hook into his opponents body.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Kerwood.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
