Ewan Kay vs Mark Livingston

Boxing Daily Report from the AI New Zealand-Auckland promoted show at Ian Simrell Gym, Auckland,  taking place on 13/12/2021:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Oceania Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Prime, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Ewan Kay (3 - 3 - 3) who hails from Manukau, New Zealand and Mark Livingston(6 - 3) from Manukau, New Zealand.  Both Kay and Livingston weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Glynn Telford, and the three ringside judges are Hamahona Kurawhatia, Antwan Vaughan and Declan Haturini.  

Round 1: 

Livingston is looking to close the distance.  Livingston sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Livingston quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Kay lands a cross.  
Livingston pivots from in front of his opponent.  Kay lands a right hook.  
Livingston sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a cross.  
Livingston closes the distance and connects with a left hook.  
Kay lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Livingston advances into close range and forces Kay to back into the ropes.  Livingston hits home with a left uppercut.  Livingston wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Kay dabs at his face checking for damage.
