Chris Palin vs Chris Kimmey

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Florida promoted show at Miami Cato, Miami,  taking place on 05/08/2024:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-South Atlantic Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Chris Palin (11 - 2 - 3) who hails from Miami, USA and Chris Kimmey(12 - 3) from Savannah, USA.  Palin weighed in at 139 pounds And 15 ounces, while Kimmey weighed in at 139 pounds And 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Blake Hyslop, and the three ringside judges are James Villasana, David Carias and Fanuco Villarrubia.  

Round 1: 

Palin steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Kimmey is whaling away with hooks, but Palin keeps his defence tight.  
Palin steps to the outside and lands a cross.  
Kimmey gets on the inside.  Palin attempts to land a left hook, but Kimmey sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.

Kimmey is looking to close the distance and digs in a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  Kimmey clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Palin pushes his forearm into Kimmey's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Palin.
