Zenon Velez vs Alejandro Ferreyra

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Brazil-Rio de Janeiro promoted show at Rio de Janeiro Montes, Rio de Janeiro,  taking place on 14/09/2024:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Brazil-Rio de Janeiro Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV Esporte Interativo, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Zenon Velez (7 - 4 - 3) who hails from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Alejandro Ferreyra(7 - 6 - 1) from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  Both Velez and Ferreyra weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Bronco Campos, and the three ringside judges are Juan Calixto, Xabat Meneses and Xaverius Reposa.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Ferreyra.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
